Been meaning to do some experimenting myself to figure the answer to this but been so busy of late not had the chance to really get on the MPC even just to place around and test things out.
Anyway what I was wondering is if the non-destructive chop information is stored with the sample itself, or more specifically if you can transfer the sample via USB to the computer, process it with Soundforce or the like and then transfer it back to the MPC and still have all the chops set up in place.
The reason why is I feel most of the beats I have started have too dry drums for the most part and want to run them through a bit of compression and distortion (maybe subtle reverb) but I don't really want to have to chop them all again. In fact it would be nice to be able to work out exactly which of my breaks I'm going to use first, roughly where in a set, then I can work out how heavily to process each one once I've got the basics down.
