Can Q-Link sliders recieve midi data?

I want to use my Novation Remote SL Zero to control MIDI CTRL CHNG data on the MPC 1000. Can this be done? The reason I want to do this is because I like knobs better than sliders and I'd be able to keep better track of the names for each parameter.

And the cutoff even have a glitch. If you turn the cutoff all the way down on the machine and turns it all the way up with MIDI data It sounds like there's a small attack, like a WHOOP. Turn of resonance if you can't hear it.

The Q-LINK sliders can send midi data but they can't receive it? I'm talking midi tracks not drum tracks.

MPC 1000 Midi Out -> Ableton Live and Remote Sl Zero
MPC 1000 Midi In -> Remote Sl Zero

Remote Sl Zero Midi Out -> Ableton Live and MPC 1000
Remote Sl Zero Midi In -> MPC 1000

So basically I use the MPC as a sequencer to handle all midi notes and midi cc data (midi cc for automating parameters). I use Ableton Live as the sound module and the Novation Remote SL Zero as a midi controller to tweak midi cc data.

The Remote SL Zero comes in handy because on the MPC you can only tweak one parameter at a time. With the Remote SL I can tweak multiple parameters at a time and even store the names for each parameter. Something that you can't do with the MPC.

I have a Novation Zero SL MKII.

can you give me some tips how to get it to work with my MPC 1000 without involving ableton?

I'd like to live control filter sweeps, ADSR, FX wet/dry for compression, pitch

Any info on what CC values to assign?

The parameter of FX2 is controllable by a MIDI controller. (Parameter of FX1 is not controllable)

I'm hoping JJ adds more CC values for controlling/modulating more parameters on the MPC 1000 so i can make full use of an external controller such as the novation sl zero MK2 or an old bcr 2000. </edit>

You can also use midi CC values to control parameters such as Undo, Stop, Start, Play, Record, Rec+Start, Dub Play, Dub Start, and pads.
