Because of some dude videos on youtube, I've decided to try live drumming.

My usual pad settings is 17 for velo. sens, 23 for press.sens, curve A and pad on level 1.

I was practicing with the headphones and in order to get a constant loud noise I've decided to set the FULL LEVEL ON.

Thing is I get double triggering very often (I have the pad fix and i know how to hit the MPC).

I've tried many different settings in the PAD mode and my first conclusion is that the threshold for defined pad sensitivity and full level sensitivity may be slightly different. (It's just like i can get a sound with velocity from 1 to 10 with defined settings and it's not that fine with full level for that supposed amount).

Am I dreaming or what?
Anybody thinking Full level is strange with Os2xl?

Peace

i use the new pads. i set pad on level to 1 , and velocity sensitivity to 24, i never get double triggering, and i can get full level hits or ghost note hits as i want . ive been considering trying the silicone glue thing in order to be able to get the lighter touches working though.

i would try play with the velocity sensitivity, 17 would be way to low for me. for low velocity hits my fingers are on the pads already and i squeeze down. i dont worry to much about getting velocities really accurate , a vague low, medium or high is good enough for me.

Yeah I have to admit with 17 you have to BANG the pads. It's my usual workflow and I never get double trigerring like that. It's just when I press the full level key that I got some weird stuff. Anyway, Thanks for your advice Mikolo.

no problem. i set my pads like that cause i use one finger on a pad, with a few fingers covering a range of pads-rather than two fingers on a pad that i know a lot of people do.I lift my hand away from the mpc a little for full velocity hits and keep my fingers really close to the mpc for lower velocities.

the double triggering is weird - cause i do get it when using my mpc60 or my friends 2000xl, just never on my 1000. makes me wonder if some 1000's behave differently to others..hmm..Having said that i never use full level, im more likely to reduce the velocity reponse in the pgm, so i can have individual pads set to "full level" if they need to be. i might try out your settings later and see what happens.
