Can the JJOS record audio tracks?

im really sorry if this is a ridiculous question, but i think i read somwhere that the JJOSXL has the option of recording audio tracks? as in being able to record audio data without a DAW or mixer? is this true?

and ive searched for like an hour now but i cant seem to find a specific answer for how to use my midi keyboard to trigger sounds in the mpc. i understand this is also basic and ive been reading the manual for the last few days, but if anyone could offer some help? anyway thanks for reading

The answer is yes for audiotracks (it depends on the JJ OS. See http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/chart.htm )

Regarding your second question it depends on the OS too. ( program with the right midi assignment, or the 35-98 assign screen in os2 or the default layout in os2xl) I guess you already know about cabling stuff?
