Morning,
Would welcome any sensible ideas on how to get round the following issue.
Ok I am getting more into the swing of setting up beats to flow with records, where the timing often isn't as tight as a drum machine.
I have a set of kicks, snares. hats etc. I can use for now.
Im running JJOS 2 xl on a 2500. Now what I used to do to get, say a 2 beat bar going was to approximate the tempo press record and just record a new track with the pads.
What I'd like to do now is this. Basically record but NOT be restricted by time or tempo. Now I've turned Quantize off (never really use it anyway).
I realise this may sound confusing - so let me put it another way. When I record an AUDIO track. its exactly how I want it - perfect. Im not restricted by any thing - just hit a pattern and save it - I then trim it and then loop it.
I'd just like to know if there's a way of doing this on a standard drum track so I get to see the markers on the screen.
Maybe Im missing something obvious - maybe it can't be done any better than just using the audio track.
Ideas welcome.
