I've been reading up trying to determine which JJOS is the one to go with. Obviously the XL has the most features but I read about bugs that caused the MPC to freeze in some versions. Have these bugs been worked out or is JJOS2 still the best way to go? Does anyone still use JJOS1 and why? I'm using a 2500 btw.

thx

Is there still a problem with the OS2XL freezing up during MIDI recording ???

XL is bloatware

JJOS2 FTW. Superior Grid sequencing amongst other things.

havent upgraded to os2 yet, still using latest version of os1.

worth paying for os1, maybe even os2, but from what ive tried out (yeah, you can download the shit and try it out, just cant save with it until you pay) os2xl aint worth the money.

i havnt gotten os2 cause im happy with os1 and dont have spare cash, plus, what i actually need and use, i cant justify paying for os2.

If it weren't for the XOX style sequencing, and Loop Edit Mode in general, in the Grid in OS2, I'd stick with OS1 as well.

Quantise STRENGTH and two filters are the main reasons I use OS2XL over OS2.

how is everybody liking non destructive chop then??

so os2 only has one filter?

any problems with loading projects from os1 with 2 or xl?

i need to check the comparisons, but would be nice if someone could drop knowledge here...

yeah, the one thing that i would say i liked about os2 is the nd chop..........not so much the non destructive part, but the fact taht in trim/chop window, you could preview your differant chops on the pads, so instead of having to navigate from one chop to the other, you could hit first pad for chop1, 2nd pad for chop2 and test out your chops while chopping..............

and, i really like the main screen changes and step editing from main window.

I'm still using os1, mainly because of the two filters. I need to try os2xl though...

Also i seem to remember liking the way os1 orders sample in memory as opposed to os2. I can't rmember what the difference is though...
