Hi folks,

I am a complete newbie to the MPC world and I have a question regarding ordering JJ OS:

Can anbydy tell me if JJ offers an upgrade from JJ OS2 to OSXL? Or do i have to buy a complete new OS2XL for 64 USD even if I already own OS2?

I couldn't figure that out from his website.

Thanks in advance for your help

The password price of OS2XL is US$64.00.
However, the price is US$15.00 when installing OS2XL in MPC into which the password of OS2 is entered.

Just $15 with an Mp that already has OS2. Good luck!

Hi, I didnt understand the wording in the jj website either, I want os2XL but I have the original Akai os at the moment. After I read the info on the jj site I was under the impression that I would have to buy at least jjos1 first, then the os2xl, so it will cost more than $64 to get from the akai os to os2xl.Is this right?

Cool, as long as I know before I do it.

BTW the main reason i am upgrading is for the MTC sync as I want to run cubase 5 from with the 1000 as the master, as you probably know cubase cant slave to midi clock anymore but will to mtc, and if I slave the MPC to cubase, its ok until i want to loop ma section when the mpc fall behind, I think this is due to the fact that midi clock only gives start and stop commands rather than a frame accurate song position, has anyone else had this problem, and am I taking the right course of action to fix it, and more importantly, does it cure the problem?

I know there are alot more reasons to upgrade but this one is a particular problem that I need to sort out before I go any further

cheers

Dan
