os.. to osXL pad conversion issue

im running into this issue since upgrading to xl, described here in #1: http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/mpc2500/xl/important.htm

my basslines comming from my keyboard dont sound right, when i made them they weren't midi tracks, although they are midi tracks, the problem seems to be that the sequencer only recorded the pad numbers and now that they are differant, the notes dont match correctly.

is there an easy way to fix this? other than manually changing each note/and or replaying the bassline? cause i got a shit load of beats like this and wouldnt want to have to reload os everytime or replay everything.

maybe jj os can add a convert button in an update?

if i recall... step edit and transpose the notes up one, but could be down one.

I am experiencing this issue now and wondering if there is an easy fix. Upgraded from jjos1 to jjos2xl and the chords i recorded with my midi keyboard are playing the wrong notes. Is there a quick way to fix this so os2xl plays the chords like os1? the Important instructions on the jjos website are really cryptic.

i think i figured this out.

you have to save each midi track in the sequence as "midi" not "drum" in your original jjos1 program file. make sure you save your changes.

then re-open the same song/program in jjos2xl and the notes should be as they were in jjos1.

The easiest way is obviously to just reload the older OS to load an older program.

But there are ways to re-jigger an old program to load up in a newer OS.

It would be cool if somebody made something like blue box to easily convert programs between OS'.
