CPU ADDRESS ERROR

every now and then when im chopping up samples or extracting samples an error message comes up saying CPU ADDRESS ERROR followed by lotsa numbers. Im new to this thing and dont know what to do. i have the free jj os version (3.09?) what should i do? please help me out. thx

has the machine recently received a RAM upgrade?

yeah its upgraded to 128

try opening it up and gently removing the RAM and gently re-seating it. messed up RAM makes these machines do phucked up things.

ok...did that but it did it again. finished choppin up a sample, when i was exctracting each chop, by the 7th or 8th sample the error mess came up again. am i maybe doing something wrong when taking the chops? again im sorry and thank for helping, i am a noob

its not anything you are physically doing thats causing it. The only other thing I can think of is reinstalling the OS.

nope...just started doing it. i just installed the jj os last nite...might be that.

thanks guys. but now i think it was just the sample cause when i chop up other samples, it doesnt go to the error screen. i have no idea why its like that but seem to work now
