Tirect record main out on mpc.

This will record the main out and you can save as wav on your compact flash card.

Then you can USB the wav file to computer.

Isn't Direct Record in the manual?

Where is the song now, still inside the mpc?

yea its still inside the mpc. but my samples are under analog and not under mainout. In my manual it tells me to record in analog in which i used RECORD IN insead of using stereo in the back of the machine

You cannot convert the sequence file. Sounds like you are trying to drag the files to the computer and play back a beat. Thats not how it works. You either need to record into the computers line in or you can re sample the whole beat in the MPC then export THAT WAV into the computer.

Use DIRECT RECORD function (it records the main output) to make that song into wav, then you can usb that wav to computer, you don't have to remake the song from scratch.
