simult pad to MIDI question.

hey all,

long time poster - been away for a while, tourin the world. currently residing
in amsterdam where all is snowy and rad. just got my MPC posted over so
trying to work on some new beats and a new show with a video element hopefully
involving MAX/MSP or PD and live triggering from the MPC.

just wondering if anyone knows....

when simult pad is activated how many MIDI notes are sent out?

for example, say pad A01 is simulted to pad A02, when I hit pad
A01 do i get MIDI data from both pads or just one?

I can't test this at the moment as I don't have MIDI capabilities
right now, so any help would be much appreciated.

With os2xl you can choose between simult1 and simult2 behavior

yep ..Le Rat beat me to the punch with that one - was just about to post:

OS2xl sends out the midi note if you chose "Simult1",
"Simult 2" works like the other JJOS, it triggers the pad but no note is sent.

ok thanks for that guys... but still not really clear on my question,
which was about sending MIDI data OUT of the MPC, not just what
the MPC records when sequencing.

so if A01 equals MIDI note 54 (or whatever) and A02 equals MIDI
note 23 and A01 is simulted to A02 - when I hit A01 do 2 MIDI notes
(BOTH 54 and 23) get sent OUT of the MPC?

i'm still on 4.9x. as i said, been moving around so haven't updated
yet. new developments look awesome though.
