Hi guys, is there any OS (for the MPC 1000) that allows me to change parameters (filters, voice overlap, etc.) for multiple pads at once? I just downloaded MPC PAD 187, mac software to manage programs, but it seems that I still have to change the settings for each pad individually.

Yes. The JJ OSes (except for the free one) all have GPE.

Thanks. Don't know if Bluebox does the trick. I read the Beat making on the mpc 1000 tutorial on Bluebox but it doesnt' say. Any Bluebox users?

Here's a little example, how you can assign the "level" settings to all, or selcted pads.

First use right click by mouseover,

then select the option you need,

and then you can apply the settings to all, or selected pads,

you can also do this with any other settings. you have to experiment a littlebit with Bluebox.

I've learned it the same way, "Learning by Doing".

Thanks for the extensive reply Bayken. I normally learn by doing but I'm a mac user, so maybe I'll have to install bootcamp or buy the JJ OS.

3. [MODE] +PAD11 (GLOBAL PROGRAM EDIT) is added.

way quicker than using bluebox.

also.....are you the ninja tune daedalus?

Oh thanks. I'm about to install the free version anyway.
No, I'm not the Ninja Tune Daedalus. The Greek financial crisis made me think of how sometimes we all fly a bit to close to the sun (while I was choosing a nickname).

Edit: Just installed the JJ OS. Phew! Programming every single pad was driving me crazy.

Didn't ever think to right click when using bluebox. Thanks for saving me some time bayken.

I found it http://mpcmaid.sourceforge.net/
It doesn't seem to have GPE but the free JJ OS (update) does.
