I just posted this in the first MPC 1000 thread but then realized I was running JJ so here it is again!

Hey guys, today I just bought my first sampler, the mpc 1000, and at while spending a ridiculous amount of time trying to figure out my problem I came across this site. Mpc forums seems like it has a cool community so I'll probably be on here pretty often from now on. Anyways I'm still trying to work out this problem with my mpc. Right now im trying to adapt it to my recording set up (which is currently the mpc 1000, a firestudio project 8 channel firewire interface, a pair of tannoy monitors, and a mac book running logic 9, there's some other stuff but it's not exactly relevant).

Basically I want to run my mpc through my firestudio so that I can hear the output on my monitors which are connected via the firestudio's main outs. I've tried a lot of different ports on the mpc and firestudio but I can't seem to hear the audio unless it's through my headphones. Is there some driver I need? Because if so I can't find it...

Please help! Thanks in advance

Man, this is a problem with the audio interface, not the MPC, unless it's a dud - you're looking in the wrong place. There's probably some setting in the software/drivers where you route the input and output and unmute channels etc. Go to the manufacturers website.

Also...

Check to see if you have your interface connected with your midi unit ( the mpc) in the Apple Midi Setup. It lies in the utilities folder. If you need more on that, let me know.
