Hi all,

I recently bought an MPC1000, which came with "New OS 4.73". Searching on Google, I've determined this to be JJOS before a name change. Looking at the options on the JJOS website, I see that the free version is a lower version number than my New OS was. Today, I installed JJOS1, and so went from 4.73 to 4.99.

I'm still learning the ropes, but, as far as I can tell, I am able to save (MODE->PAD3[SAVE]). Does this mean that 4.73 was a paid-for version of JJOS1 and that I don't need to buy a new license?

Which would be great as I could get myself JJOS2 and save a bit of money on the upgrade path.

yes, os1 is already paid for and unlocked.

when you use the demo of os2 you will get a code on the save window that you forward to JJ when you want to buy.
