JJOS2 XL Main Screen - Deleting by bank

In the main screen sequencer - is there a way to just delete the notes for whatever pad bank you're in, without deleting all A-D (w/o going into the pad+15 editor)? in either 2 or 2xl on the one k.
JJ's page says

All the pads (A01-D16) of the cursor position are the targets of edit.

Just I could swear I was able to do that on my machine until today........? Or am I just not getting enough sleep?

There may be a better way,, but I would just use the DELETE button, and then hit all the pads to delete all the pads in the bank you got selected.
