Wanted to ask peoples ideas on this , im doing a B-boy style track , i sampled a 4 bar drum loop chopped it up and edited a bit . Sound great like a 70s drum break but now i need to fatten it up.
Cos its a drum break i can split the sound form the original break like snares kicks and his as it will sound strange ,so here was my idea , please comment.
Layer using simult , then run the layered drums out through different outputs to be eq and effects in logic so id have in logic for example a layout like this:
track 1 - original cut up break
track 2 - layered kick
track 3 - layered snare
track 4 - layered hi hat.
How do other people go go about this?
thanks in advance
