where has convert slice to program gone jjos v3.10

Hi. i thought id give jjos 3.10 (the free one) a try.

First off really like global program edit, dont know how akai could let the 2500 go out with out this but there you go.

Save and load is a massive improvement too

However in the akai os, after you sliced a sample it gave you the option to convert to a program and gave the option to name it at the same time. This meant you could trim a sample - chop into say 16 samples - convert said samples into program, and name it. Quick as any thing- really liked this feature!

Iv only been using jjos for a night so hopefully iv missed something but it seems now that you have to.-trim sample -chop 16 pieces- go to program mode copy a program - rename the copy- go through pad by pad assigning the sliced samples. is this right?

Please be the first to tell me what a muppet i am and how to do this as per the old akai way.. Come on Pastor you know you want to!

has no one got any idea's about where this functionality has gone?

iv bin throught the jjos v3.10 explanations on the jjos site no mention of it there..

I've never used the free version, but it seems to be the same on every OS I've ever worked with. Once you chop a sample the way you want it, your going to hit EDIT. Then choose Convert to SLICED SAMPLES. If you hit DO IT right here, then it will just chop the samples and be done with it. Look for another option, for example, F2 Convert to SLICED SAMPLES instead of DO IT. It then brings up an option menu. You can choose a release time and also choose to Create a New Program. I'm working with Ver. 2 xl, but I'm almost positive it worked the same on version 1, so I imagine it would be the same on the free version. Especially since it was an option available on the Akai OS. so its definately in 2xl then .. good to know.
ill be on it soon as i get back from work so ill have another scan hopefully the option is just not presented and you have to select something else first.
tbh i wasnt expecting it when i first got my mp was a nice surprise tho. like it read my mind
at least i know if i cant find it i can allways get 2xl

yeah man love that film. + when i registered i was researching RAM , hdd's ,cd-m25 for my mpc just seemed appropriate at the time.
