A few days ago I purchased an MPC 1000. I updated to the last Akai OS (v. 2.13). Now I would like to install jj os 1, but this does not work ! I can install Any other version of AKAI and the free jj os but the JJ OS 1 just does not seem to work.

I downloaded the jj os 1 from the original download page and put the file on my Flash Card. When I restart my system now I got the following error:

Bootlock........v.103

"a correct os file wasnt found"

What should I do ? Maybe buy another CF Card ? Try to update from an older AKAI OS (if yes, where can I find older Akai OS...i couldnt find it anywhere)

I just don't understand why this happens. Every other OS loads without any problem. I really need the JJ OS1 ! I would really appreciate if somebody could help me ! if you need more details, feel free to ask !

regards

Hi there

thanx a lot for the replies. I dont think it's the file that is corrupt as it really displays as a .bin file. I tried to update it from the free jj os as well and I still got the same error. Could it be possible that I have to update it from an older akai OS... I guess the akai OS 2.13 is pretty new and maybe that's why I got this problem ?

hi

I tried it with another CF Card and it worked...strange...but it worked...so everything is fine :=)

I got another question: I am now waiting for the JJ OS1 Password...so until I get this password may I already use the OS or not ? I noticed that I can play samples and switch the menues already....

best wishes

get my password 10-20 hours later I will be able to save that beat ? I guess it should work :=))
