MPC 1000 With New Pads/JJOS XL Only Triggering Full Level

Hi, I'm sorry if this has been dealt with here already. I searched and could not find any posts with my specific problem.
I have a MPC 1000BK with a brand new pad upgrade. On the latest Akai OS the pads work perfectly. I had problems with pad triggering on the free JJOS, but once I got my sensitivity settings dialed in it was fine. Lurking here I decided JJOS XL was worth the investment. I installed it without issue, but now my pads play at full level with only the Pad On Level setting having any effect, which obviously doesn't really help me. I reverted OS's and re-installed XL a few times but the problem is there every time. Any velocity from 1-127 triggers at full level. Each time I reverted to the Akai OS everything was fine again.

If anyone here has had this problem or could offer some insight into why it might be happening I'd be very grateful.

Yes, I made sure to hold erase during the reboot. At this point I can get any OS working without issue except XL (stuck on full level regardless of settings). Akai OS, Free JJOS, JJOS1, JJOS2 all work perfectly and I have no mechanical issues (specifically tact switches). I've done the reverts and re-installs with 3 different CF cards as well.

I've received 6 emails from JJOS support (very appreciated! ), but so far the suggestions have been all the normal things you would troubleshoot (set thresh hold to 16, set velocity to 50%, make sure no midi cables are plugged in etc.) I'm definitely a RTFM type of person and followed all the install instructions carefully.

Because the problem is only with the XL OS I think something went wrong during the memory flash when I entered my unlock code, but of course I don't have the option to re-enter the unlock and try again.

I can use the OS2 and look at it as a $15 loss, but there's features on XL I definitely like to use, so I really hope I can find a way to fix this.

SOLVED!

The problem was due my own stupidity and lack of familiarity with the XL version of the OS. I thought the 50% velocity setting referred to the main screen and didn't realize it was the mode + pad 7 Amp percentages I needed to tweak.

I'd like to mention that I have never received such excellent service and troubleshooting help than what JJ support provided me. Simply fantastic. I also had the initial purchase and delivery of the unlock code take about 14 minutes which was also tremendous.

I love the OS and just want to say to anyone else considering JJOS lurking on these forums researching it like I did, do it with full confidence regarding both the paypal transaction and the support.

I hope JJ wins the lottery someday and can just buy Akai outright.
