JJ OS - Fresh Out The Womb

Hello everyone,

I just got my MPC 2500 back from the repair shop (YES) and I am new to JJ OS after using Logic and a MPK for sometime now. I was wondering if anyone could assist me. My first problem is downloading jj os properly, I am a Mac user and I haven't been successful. Can someone please provide some detailed instructions? I was trying to download it to the computer first, is that incorrect?

this is the procedure ( i was on a PC should be roughly the same )


download the jjos file

this is for mac users ( note what it says about the file might have .txt on the end, if so remove the .txt)

plug your MPC into your computer via USB.

[MPC]press mode / save ( pad 3 )

[MPC]press USB ( F3 )

[MPC]change access to memory card ( data wheel )

[MPC]press do-it ( f5 )

[MAC]a drive / folder / mount point should appear on your computer. (MPC 1000 disk)

[MAC]copy the jjos file to this drive.

[MAC]once copied do macs have the equivilant of safely remove hardware / eject this device? do that

[MPC]press load ( f1 )

[MPC]Use the data wheel to select the jjos file and press do it ( f6 )

[MPC] Do it

short of going to the supermarket and getting some alphabetty spaghetti I can't really help you further
