This is my 1000th post!! Its been a while since ive posted, but ive been snooping for a few months!
To celebrate id thought id post these pics .I just got a skin from the user Koken. My disgusting blue looking 1000 now looks a bit more like my mpc60.

(The S900 doesn normally have the 60 sitting on top of it like that so dont worry about it overheating!)

Qlinks controlling LFO's . Two qlinks active at the same time too, which is interesting.. This might even tempt Sooty to make the Jump! Im glad to see JJ working on some new things.

thanks man!
I was in two minds about the roger linn sig...it might upset some of the purists, but i suppose he should get the credit for the original MPC idea.
yeah the data wheel moves ok (It's part number 128-2574 from farnell), I had to put some double sided foam tape under the wheel to stop it from wobbling. I do miss the little indentation that you put your finger tip on, but havent used the mpc much since the makeover. Should be using it more in the next couple of months so i'll see how it goes.

i gotta admit that is a great development on the qlink front! now i gotta ask if both those qlink tweaks are recordable in the sequence? that's one of the main things keeping me from switching: in 2xl you can only have 1 qlink pass recorded while in os 2 you can have both of them recorded & playing back simultaneously.

JJ, i know you're checking these forums! consider that my challenge: make both of the qlinks recordable & active in the sequence simultaneously like in os 2. i know you can do it! :)

mikolo: your mpc is looking really nice! get a white lcd screen & that mod will be complete!

It does seem strange how the qlinks behave totally differently for this new feature, it'd be awesome if this behaviour is parralleled elsewhere - it should warrant its own video for sure! If everything else does remain the same though , it begs the question whats so different about the LFO parameters? Looking forward to playing with 1.42 when it drops.

Im hoping he sorts out the weird behaviour with the click/t.c button. During play you can always switch from metronome to t.c. but if you cant always go from t.c. to metronome - it just brings up the small t.c. dialog box rather than the one which shows all parameters.

came out well man, love the paint-job and custom knobs.

Has it come out brighter in the pic? I didn't think it looked that white when I sent it :?

Good work with the screen also - I might have to do that with mine now...

(bah- I didn't get the LED holes placed as well as you did either)

Yeah this skin is a little whiter than the previous one, i didnt realise until after the skin was on that it was a lighter shade. The LED's might be right but i managed to put a bubble in the skin nearer the roger linn signature .. truth be told its photoshopped a little ..just like any good centrefold would be!

I was thinking maybe in future the screen surround could be done on a seperate sheet with an upwards facing sticky border around it,dont know if thats possible or not? I just used scissors and a little bit of peeling back the stickers to cut out the inner rectangle.

The volume/record knobs are from maplins (i used poundaproblems tip for making the record knob red by using nail polish), the data wheel was from farnell (which has an enormous warehouse about 5 mins from my house)

Couldnt have done without your help though keith so thanks again!
