yes it says on his page somewhere, its burnt into some weird bit of the memory maybe a spare bit of the "internal sound" memory or something.
just be thankful the previous owner bought JJOS and you haven't got to shell out for it. And just use it, there are some many improvements, little things as well like NAMING SAMPLES works so much better.
i tried using my S3000xl the other day and kept wiping over the previous sample because you have to name it first, not bothered I was bored but even still kinda kills the vibe.
