16 chops in NDC??

Hi:

Do you know if i can choose 16 chops in Non Destructive Mode or its set to 32 and you cant chose the number of chops?

There's always gonna be 32 chops but if you press the slice button (f4 i think) you can set the first 16 (or 8 or 24 or any other number less than 32) chops to cover the whole sample. Then you just ignore the remaining chops.

i've tryed to do what you say, but it does not work. When ir press the slice button does not apears all the sample. I can slice only 3 bars, but the sample has 4 bars. It's wired. I choose 16 slices and I can play the 16 slice, but not in all the sample, only in the first 3 bars; the mpc does not show the last bar. it's very extrange. Does anyone know something about this?

So what was the problem/the solution??
I think i ve had the same problem once..

the solution was easy. you have to press SLICE mode, then select the number of Slices that you want (16 slice in my case) and then press DO IT. you will come back to the TRIM mode and wher you can "chop" the sample. The number of slices will be the number that you fixed in the SLICE mode. After that, press New Pgm and you will have a new program with the slices that you have created.
