Help with Delay

Help with Delay

(i already posted this in 2500 forum, but thought there may be people who do not check there and only here)

I'm currently using the free JJOS but no matter how much i play with the delay effect (and such was the same when i was on akai os) it doesn't seem to do anything to the pads i assign it to.

am i doing something wrong?

is there alternative equipment i could use to use a delay on my samples, as it is unproductive to keep giving samples to my engineer to assign this effect!

is it possible that nobody uses this effect?? it's one of the most valuable recording effects!

what dya mean it does nothing when u put it on your pads?

its a send fx, so u need to assign the pad # to the effect bus, look in the program editor.

in the 'fx send' screen i assign the relevent fx (for example, fx 1: delay) to a specific pad. delay does absolutely nothing when i do this, no matter how much i tweak the perameters.

are you setting the send level to something over zero? is the pad also going to the stereo outs? do the other FX work fine for the same pad?

the other fx's work fine, correct, on the same pad. in terms of the other two i'll have to get back to you on that tonight, i'll play around with it and see if i can give as much info as possible.
