track muting by pads behaves weird

Hi there,

jjos 3.12..

i am having this issue with track (un)muting. it's not reliable anymore,
when i push a pad in order to mute a track its state reverts to unmute
as soon as i release the pad. this effect is pretty unpredictable.. it was
perfect with akai os... anybody got a clue ?
