I honestly did search for this and I know it must be somewhere but I couldn't find the answer so please help me out.

I've got someone coming over from another city, we both have mpc 2500's he's still on the akai OS an I'm on jj os 2xl version 2.0. He wants to bring over his beats made on the mpc 2500 using the akai OS. obviously it would be much easier if he could bring his cf card and pop it in my 2500 but I'm wondering if there will be a problem when trying to load his projects into my mpc with jj os????

Thanks!

Yeah.
You'll need to reset the envelopes (filter and amp (velocity, start, end, time, etc, etc)) on every single pad in every program.
The filter settings are also different (jjosxl doesn't have LP2 either).
The volume curves are different.
The projects will be mostly salvageable, but how long it'll take depends on their complexity.

You can always load up the AkaiOS just for his visit, then simply install JJOSXL again afterwards; it's quick, easy and painless. Just remember that you have to first install JJOS Ver3.10 and then install JJOSXL.

One more thing: q-links are gonna be jacked, and its all but impossible to recreate those settings because q-links in os2x have changed so much.

I personally would say either load the Akai OS for your session, or load the programs and samples, and start from there. Either of those would probably be quicker than trying to fix the project.

Also, if you work in os2xl then he won't be able to take the projects back to his MPC.
