I'm still relatively new, had my 1000 for a little over 3 months. I've put together about 4 complete tracks, but I there is a lot more I'd like to learn with regard to using step edit and/or track mutes to create changes within my sequences. The main thing I'd like to play around with now is effects and there is one sound in particular that I'd like to try and recreate. In this link around :18 there is a horn sound that has like a time stretch sounding stutter to it, is this something I can recreate with the 1000 (Damu uses the 2000)?

you mean spread the sample over 16 levels? to change pitch?

At :18 it's just a loop of the tail of a sample.
Set up a loop near the end of your sample, then use NOTE ON in your program for that pad and hit and hold down the pad.

Ha, cool :)
I opened mine up and circuit-bent it, added switches and buttons to turn the bends on or off and fitted a tuning knob.
You can get some crazy glitched-up sounds out of it. It aint hard to do. Give it a go.

I bent a Speak & Read a few years ago. It died mysteriously last year.
Anyone here ever bend the expansion cartidges? I had "Dog On A Log" but forgot about it till now. Can't do nothing with a dead Speak. I've thought about bending another to replace it. But I've been too busy with everything else in the lab.
