Hopefully someone can help me out here...i'm not new to mpc's but just dipping my toe in the jjos world! I really cant afford the paid version so am checking out the free version after having some doo doo with corruption on my hard drive with the akai os.

I notice there is no 16 levels or auto chromatic! How do you guys get around that? Or am i missing something? What else is lacking with the free version that i might consider? Please dont shoot me down as i know most of you love thisos but is it really that good? Thanks for the knowledge...Peace

Edit: Somehow my 16 levels etc. are now working! I don't know what the hell that was about!!!!!!! I think the button may be dying! Anyway, for anyone considering the jjos over the akai os i'd say go for it. Personally I don't feel the need for all the features of the paid versions..the features of the free one (i.e. better save/ load) are enough in my opinion. If you are good at making beats then you don't need all the bells and whistles but that's just my opinion. i got a bit fed up of a lot of heads on here simply saying just get jjos and gunning people down for asking about it. I was happy with the stock os just as I am with my stock 2000 and sp1200 basic editing but for anyone doubting whether or not to switch, i'd say do it just make sure you back up your hd (if you have one) and reformat through the jjos. Hope this helps someone...Peace

The 3.12 free JJOS slices in mono, if that effects you.
