I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to configure a synth, mpc1k, midisport 4x4, and computer. Right now I have both in & out's from the 1k and synth all hooked up the midisport which is usb'd to the computer this is fine if I want to use a DAW or soft synths. But if I just wanted to use the synth board and mpc by themselves, is there a setting I'm missing in the mpc or a program for the midisport to allow the midi or beat clock from the mpc to go to the board? Otherwise, I have to disconnect the midi connection for the board from the midisport and plug it directly into the mpc. I would like to have a way where I don't have to keep plugging and unplugging the cords.

SYNTH MIDI OUT ---> MPC MIDI IN 1
MPC MIDI OUT A ---> SYNTH MIDI IN
MPC MIDI OUT B ---> MIDISPORT IN
MIDISPORT OUT ---> MPC MIDI IN 2

MODE+PAD09 and change Soft thru to TRACK
Go to a Track and set MIDI (bottom-right) to A for your synth or B for your computer.

In MIDI/SYNC you can send MTC/MIDI CLOCK/MMC to A (your synth) and/or B (your computer). You can also have your computer sending MTC or MIDI Clock to your mpc (port 2) and have your mpc send MTC or MIDI Clock through A to your synth at the same time.

Watch out for midi loops when your computer is sending midi data to the mpc and you have Soft thru in your mpc directing midi to the computer.
