Sync Mpc 1000, Midi Keyboard and mbox as Master

What is the midi wiring, when I hook up mpc 1000 and a midi keyboard and have digi mbox as master controlling both of the 2 devices. How is the wire setup? (midi out, midi in, midi thru....etc)?

in all seriousness - it's pretty simple to work out

you want midi data to go FROM the master TO the slave

so does data go IN or OUT of the computer?

and does it go IN or OUT of the slaves?

see? simple.



master OUT -> slave1 IN

slave1 THRU -> slave2 IN

although if by "midi keyboard" you mean a controller then I don't know why you want a computer to control a midi keyboard ... that doesn't make much sense

I figured all of that out , thanks, but now my set up is as follows, MPC 1000 as Master, slaving Roland G Fantom keyboard and mbox pro tools. WHEN I PUSH PLAY ON THE MPC THE METRONOME IS NOT ON BEAT WITH THE PRO TOOLS METRONOME. HOW DO I FIX THAT?

I use Cubase. Never used Protools, but:
If using MTC make sure the tempo in Protools is set to the same tempo as your mpc.
Make sure the frame rate is set the same.
