I've asked JJ for this, even without automation I think it's essential to set the levels & pan of midi hardware so that it always sounds the same. The alternative is to have lots of multi setups on the external gear with all the pan/vol settings for each project which is annoying as most gear only have a few multi patches.
It is a logical step that seeing as the mixer uses the standard vol & pan CCs they should be passed on to each tracks midi channel, I wonder if it is omitted because it is difficult/time consuming to achieve.
I hope that JJ will add it, the other feature I requested was to mixdown the crossfade loop to save on polyphony and literally the next day it was added, astounding, thanks JJ!
