I've been at this for 7 days and I'm losing my mind. My computer is an Alienware Core, 3GB RAM. I have my MPC 1000 (JJ OS 1) as the Master, and Pro tools 7.4 (Mbox 2) Both Frame rates are set to 25, and my MPC is sending MTC. Both BPM are set the same. When I press play on the MPC 1000, pro tools starts but the metronome is slighty off from the MPC metronome. I tried everything and read dozens of post. Can it be a glitch? Do I need new hardware or an upgraded Pro tools? Please Help.....

I don't have p.t,but on my machine when I would sync with my Fantom,my recorder(tascam sx1)had to detect the signal then try to sync to it.It was always a delay.maybe try to send a start message only by not using mtc but by using midi clock.
Or put a a offset of p.t's start time to match the time offset of the delay,Or try a blank bar in front of the sequence to give it time to sync.I hope this helps I don't have that program but that seems to be your issue.Let us know.
Peace

Yeah but prynce23 is using OS1 which adds MTC to the 1000. The directions for setting up the 2500 as the master should be interchangeable with the 1000 with JJOS 1 through 2xl.

30 frames is the standard for music. The other frame rates are for syncing audio and video.

Edit: The tempos between different devices will always vary somewhat, but not by much. However, If you have a sharp perception of timing, this will drive you nuts.
Luckily, it doesn't matter if you match the tempos of of two devices while using MTC since MTC is a protocol based on absolute time.

My bad. Didn't ever realize that. Thanks for picking me up.
