I just upgraded to version 2.12 from my previous version, (I believe it was 1.16 or something like that from March '09) and founds some major bugs in the 16 LEVELS functions for TUNING, FILTER, ATTACK, and DECAY with instrument programs. The 16 LEVELS seem to only work with TYPE: VELOCITY. This only affects instrument programs. However, it's a big issue for me because it affects the playback of my older sequences I made with the previous version (before upgrading) as well as my workflow. I just reported this to JJ.
16 LEVELS TYPES: Filter, Tuning, Decay, and Attack do not work with instrument (INST) programs.
1. Power on MPC.
2. Load an Instrument Program (INST).
3. Select a track on Main screen. For example: "Track 1"
4. Select the instrument program you've just loaded.
5. Press pad on MPC. Result: A sound should trigger.
6. Press "16 LEVELS" Button
7. Press a pad on MPC to select any note from instrument program.
8. Move cursor to the TYPE: field and select "TUNING"
9. Select TURN ON "F6"
10. Tap multiple pads. Result: There is no change in pitch when hitting different pads.
11. Repeat steps 6-10 for 16 LEVEL TYPES: FILTER, ATTACK, and DECAY Results: No changes in sound when hitting different pads.
I really hope this gets fixed soon!!!
