sorry, I didn't know how to title this post or how to search because I'm not even sure what It's called but I'm wondering if the following can be done.
ok so I load up a sound, assign to a pad, start recording a sequence but I want the sample to fade in gradually and fade out gradually, I know I can do this by using level on the q links but can I do it just with a pad? I know that I could also use 16 levels an velocity but that would mean having to hit the pad for each step up or down in velocity which wouldn't be good as I want the sample to play out fully... So just to make sure I'm being clear, I was thinking of setting the sample to note on, then pressing the pad gently and then press harder and harder (without taking pressure off the pad) then for the fade out slowly releasing the pressure from the pad.
I'm 99.99% positive it's not in akai or jj os but always good to check. I don't mind using the sliders but this method wouldn't interupt workflow.
Thanks.!
