Anyone know what Ver number OS2 PATTERN MODE was introduced?

If so, anyone got a copy? ... anyone help?
lookin for the version were you could use the filter.

it was like using an 808 / old fashion sequencer

I think the latest OS2 & OS2xl versions suck. I wish jj would sort it out and make it good again.
I don't understand why he took filter , chop & tune out ...
doubt many people even use it now.

this is my one BIG disappointment ... the rest of the OS i love.

Peace

The pattern mode with chop and tune only disappeared with OSXL.

Try the last version of OS2 (1.26 for the mpc2500).

I can't remember there ever being a filter in pattern mode. Check the bug fixes.

I do use pattern mode all the time now (with OSXL) to shift hits about and change durations and velocity.

Thanks for the links guys ... been most useful

I discovered patten was introduced OS2 Ver0.90 22-FEB-2008

I found that it had the tune function ... which is incredibly useful for creating tuned sequences.
Still don't understand why JJ removed this function ... in 2XL
although I have found a way round it ... but no where near as easy quick or as fun.

What you do is, create a line pattern like normal
then go to step edit [mode] + Pad 14
next to where it say tune there's a 0 - this is your pitch adjust it eg:
30 = 3rd
50 = 5th
70 = 7th
120= octave

I still can't find the version that had the filter ... only the chop version anyone else remember this version?

Peace
