The F1 button feature is a nice addition.

However, I don't like losing the Keep button while overdubbing/playing in Looping recorder. I feel the previous version had nicer workflow.

And this is why:

Now you have to stop the Looping recorder and the sequence by pressing STOP, then push KEEP, only then you reach Keeps as sample window. Next, you name & assign the sample. After that, you push [F2] Keep and Assign to pad. With the previous version, you did not have to stop the sequence at all. Up to this point it was still playing, and only after you pushed [F2] (or [F6] Keep), there was a minor hiccup in the audio output. Now, you have to do the naming, assigning and keeping in silence.

Silence irritates me when I'm busy recording, layering and constructing loops. The previous version just felt better, even with the glitch. Please, JJ, consider this!

I think it would be more useful if pressing shift would give you the option to switch F2 from CLICK to LOOP instead of switching T.C. on F1. I use T.C. way more than CLICK so I think having T.C. and LOOP side by side would be better for my work flow than having LOOP and CLICK side by side (I would never really need to switch F2 back to click) but that's just me. What do you guys think?

i like it, i probably use the dedicated click button more than the t.c. button.

Also f1 is assigned to loop, pressing f1 and shift will still bring up the t.c. window. Remember during play this window just shows note values - there is no swing setting visible. The note repeat button will still show you the the quantize note values if you want to change your quantize settings. If i want to change swing without stopping I switch to grid mode and use the qlink anyway - there is no other way of doing this during play. The only thing you cant change on the go like that is quantize strength.

Or maybe JJ can split F1 to have T.C. and LOOP on it kind of the same way that in program mode we have F5 with LFO and MUTE. Maybe JJ could make it so that by pressing SHIFT and F1 you can highlight T.C. or LOOP then when you press F1 it turns LOOP on/off or goes in and out of T.C. screen depending which function is highlighted. It would be faster than pressing SHIFT and F1, opening up a screen, pressing F1 to choose LOOP or T.C. and then closing the screen. One less screen to have to go into is always good.

Yeah, my bad, your right. After seeing the video again and trying it out (the first time I checked it out I was at work and didn't have much time) it pretty much does work the same way as what I was describing. I would still prefer being able to switch LOOP for CLICK in F2 since I really don't use CLICK that much at all, other than that it's cool.
