greetings

so I got my password today (OS2XL 2.18), entered it, the MPC blinked very quickly a message reading "Flash ROM write error", then password ok or something.

Then while messing around with the looper I wanted to switch directly to the TRIM mode and I got a CPU Address error (Read) message.

after restarting the MPC I don't get this bug anymore.

Could this CPU error somehow be linked to the "Flash ROM write error" event?

thanks in advance

I'm with ya. Ever since upgrading when the looping feature was added I a get this CPU error as well. Last night I got it again. I wasn't even using the looping feature. Just making some patterns and wham. The error seems to come from switching modes, but I can't consistently duplicate it.

I don't think so. Is it too late now?

I just did and hoped that it would fix the digital IN problem my MPC has, it did not. viewtopic.php?f=15&t=143580

I might reinstall AKAI OS, if it's not going to fix the problem, I guess I could pronounce the digital IN/OUT module defective :(

Switching OS won't help.
Just tested my digital in for the first time ever. MPC2500, JJ OS 2.21, old Sony cd deck with spdif out, 16-bit/44.1kHz. Works as it should.

I'm not familiar with your equipment, but Google tells me your EZBUS has 24-bit/44.1-96kHz analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion and your TC has 20- or 24-bit, 44.1 or 48kHz.

MPC only does 16-bit/44.1kHz.
Your gear is not compatible with MPC.
Case closed.

What about the CPU Address error? Did erase + power on help?

ye, but I turned dither on, 16 bit. Anyway I'm going to find something with 44/16 digital output to see if that will work.

Well I tried jumping from the looper to TRIM and it was ok. I'll have to do some more testing to see if it happens in some other combinations.
