i havent had this happen to me again, it might have just been a glitch when i turned my machine on once that time.
it hasnt seemed to happen again with 2 days of using it.
anyone had glitches happen like that before? then when you reboot they go away?
I've seen slight glitches similar, as one I've addressed in another topic. In my opinion, it may not be a hardware problem. However these are strange glitches that happen to occur only once. So I'm not quite sure what to make of it in all honesty. However, we should all take note of these small glitches, share and compare what we see if they happen to return with the next updates or not. For now, I'm considering a "Small One-time Glitch topic" where we can compile a list and observe any changes in behavior and such, as to get deeper into finding the cause.
This may sound a bit odd, but I would also suggest mentioning in the list what year your MPC was manufactured, as I'm curious if any Revisions in hardware specs have anything to do with it. I have an old blue & red 1000 that was manufactured in July 2004, according to the serial number on the unit. This isn't something for JJ to be concerned with (nor Akai for that matter). But if we're able to list these details in the topic I suggest making, maybe we can make some more sense out of whether the production date suggests any differences in our findings.
It may sound useless to some (if not most). But I'm an electronics tech, and I've grown more curious as to any changes in PC Board Revisions, and whatever else there is to keep note of in order to draw a better conclusion, or even rule out whether my suggestion is even worth considering looking further into. We all may have mixed results or we may not. But I see no harm in taking all matters into consideration. The more we know, the closer we are to scientifically going through the process of elimination to see if we can make any more sense of this before taking our observations to JJ or Tutor if they have been curious as to the issues. I mention Tutor specifically as well, since he is the author of many tutorials, where he may need to consider these issues for trouble-shooting and workarounds, in order to make things clearer if needed.
I'm still on my first cup of coffee. But I also should emphasize the importance of NOT contacting JJ or Tutor directly, as both of them should not be disturbed by emails and PMs, as they are both diligently working to make improvements as needed (as well as being very aware that they both read this forum to find out more info as needed).
