Hello,

Long time MPC user, just got OS2XL. I've noticed that I'm not able to mute external midi tracks. I've searched on the board but did not come across any mention of this. Is this a known issue? Can anyone reproduce it?

I am not talking about internal sounds, or pad mutes. Those are working fine.

To reproduce:

Hook up one of your midi ports to an external synth.

Create a midi track and record some notes. Set it as in the image below - MIDI, program OFF.

Play the sequence, and make sure you can hear your notes.

Go to track mute screen, and mute the track with the notes.

Result - you can still hear the notes even though the track is muted.

Obviously this is a problem only if you're using external midi instruments and require the track muting to work. Again, this works fine with internal sounds.

Can anyone else duplicate this problem? Is there a setting perhaps that I've accidentally set that might account for this behavior?

Thanks for your help!
