Hello. I want to use my Analoge solution Europa to sequence my MPC but i have to make workarounds to get an even close to decent recording when im going to record the midi into the MPC(as long as i use the mpc as a sampler and just trigger the sounds from the Europa is it working fine tough).

I would also like to be able to record my synths sequenced from Europa into the MPC with the clock on Europa synced to the MPC(that fits me better and i have neither been able to send clock to the MPC from any other instrument yet).

Any help would be much apreciated.

I have MPC1000 with JJOS 2XL

To be honest, using the mpc as a externally sequenced sampler is not a good idea because the mpc was built to be actually the sequencer who drives other hardware. I don't say its not possible because there is such possibility after jj introduced the multitimbral but there will always be so many and many limitations...
The second thing - why are you not sequencing Analoge solution Europa FROM the mpc? - you will get much more possibilities and flexibility...

Simple - just set the Analog to send a midi clock out and set the mpc to receive the midi clock - there is no other magic (refer to the manuals if you are not sure how to set it...)

If you really want use Analoge solution Europa as your main sequencer and the mpc as a sampler module, sell your mpc and buy some rack sampler which will fulfill your neeeds...

maara>> You have a point absolutly. but to clerify. the reason is that you cant(as you know) use gridmode in the MPC while the sequencer is running. I know that some people use the electribe in the same way to be able to program in grid mode while the sequencer is running.

I have of coarse put diferent machines to send clock and the MPC to recive it, but to no previal. i bought my MPC second hand tough so there is a risk that midi in might been broke. but its not werry likely.

but i would in any case prefer to clock AS europa from MPC while using grid edit on the MPC from AS Europa, and then record midi from AS Europa to the MPC when i made something that i like.

MPC's send AND receive clock very well. its all about which type of clock you need and which machine is to be master/slave.

I'm thinking about this, but am not sure whether its worth selling my mpc to get a S model sampler or Z8. But I'm definitely looking for something I can use as a tonebank (with bass, drums, string etc. sounds) that can sample and chop as well.
Was going to be an s6000 - but you can't find a USB enabled model anywhere...
