hello mpc forums. i want to use my mpc 2500 digital i/o to free space for analog i/o, but i havent ever messed with spdif. at first, what cables should i use? rca cables seem to fit but dont work, is there anything else i should know? im planning to connect with my usb audio interface, in to out and out to in. thank you very much.

you need a spdif cable to make it work. it looks like an rca cable, but it's not.
also, you need to be sure your usb input device can receive spdif.

Your audio interface may have an admin interface where you can route different i/o to spdif i/o. This gives you more flexibility, but prolly by default it'll be the "mix" signal (the same you hear from your monitors).
