Sorry for a stupid question but I have no clue what this does..in program mode inbetween "sounds" and "Dir" there is "chop" what is this for? I highlight it but it does nothing and always has the lines through it?

Thank you for you time!!

cool !
so i did today my first chopping session.
That Video brought me into that. Had bevore no idea what chop was for.
Now the question:
how to save ?
in which part of the files are the chop parameters ?

and next:
how do i transform all the chops into own samples ? is there a one command solution ?
not wanna pressing any button, slice for example, aslong nothing is saved.
Got by coincidence good stuff ;)
And sorry, i have problems with the JJOS manual, and just have an old one, and no working printer now

destructive choppinghttp://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc ... l/trim.htm

non destructive chopping http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/os2xl/ndc.htm

saving is easy, you just gotta push mode plus save, then save your program, sequences, or entire memory or whatever into a seperate folder.

make sure to save your program with your samples though.

online manuals for mpc 1000 and 2500, just select your jjos version. those tutorials were for jjos 2xl.

ok, i had a read and tested out some stuff now.
things begin to get clear regarding the chops. I overlooked that newPGM command yesterday
hey, i'm not new to my MPC, but i have used the unit more for rec and cut own samples.
Have made only 2 programs so far and was fine with those and that was 2 years ago
Now new to put Vinyls thru my 1k. new to dive into the soul of the MPC  , as my octatrack is for repair
thanks alot

I dont see the need for that chop in program screen, wouldnt most people set their chops up in trim and leave it that way?
