I have to agree with both of you. To tell you the truth if it wasn't for JJ's willingness to implement feature requests by the users, I would of never bought it and I feel that's what makes the JJ os so great.

JJ extended the life expectancy of the MPC 1000 like DJ's did records.

7 years on the MPC1000 this month... 5 years with the JJ OS. If it weren't for the JJ OS and the pad fix, I would've sold it a long time ago. But I invested lots of time and money into this machine and it's been totally worth it.

If it wasn't for Akai JJ would have nothing to run his software.

The two are interdependent , JJ would be the first to admit it.

The same applies to all third party OS no matter how good they are.

There's no doubt JJ has taken the 1k/2500 to a completely different level. As an occasional updater it's super tough to keep up with it though. There's been 4 updates (with numerous additions) in the last 2 weeks alone!

Hopefully Tutor will write the JJ guide and Jamon will keep up the progress with his website.

They failed to improve MPC line (MPC-500 and MPC-5000.)

Yes, but they were selling 2500 for really long time, without bother to improve the original design (like better jog dial, etc.)

I'm still looking for an update to the free version, because I'm cheap...
