The "1 bar edit mode window": OS2 vs. OS2XL

Hi,

i'm new to this forum and have a MPC 1000 with JJ OS 1 for some weeks.
Now i'm checking to switch to a higher version of JJ OS with the focus on the "old style" step sequencer. In the manual this is called "1 bar edit mode window".
I've noticed a difference between OS2 and OS2XL which is a bit confusing for me, the OS2 step sequencer can also edit "tune" and "chop" in this window but OS2XL can not edit these values in this window. This would be something i really want to do in this screen.

In general i would decide to switch to OS2XL but this missing feature is strange.
Are there any "tricks", hidden settings, workaround or should i start a feature request for this?

The main reason for feature cuts is because lack of space for the OS--as I've been told. You can always switch back and forth between the different OS versions.

These functions are useful, but you can edit them in the Program screen. I think it's even better (especially "chop").
The "1 bar edit mode window" is very handy, but also limited.

Removal of tune still bums me out a bit, but there's plenty to make up for it.
