OS 2XL conversion

Does anyone know a good way to "convert" MPC1000-projects that have been made with os1 to work seamlessly with 2xl? Seems to me there ought to be some sort of step-by-step guide to doing this, but I have found little to that effect.

Oh, My best guess is to dedicate a CF Card to an old OS and use that CF Card with correct OS. Sacrifices had to be made to push the OS to the next level.
