New thread in the event that this has been answered elsewhere.. I browsed briefly, but admittedly am about to leave for work, and didnt look as deep as I normally might. So dont crucify me please lol.

In any case.. I would assume that setup.sys would allow you to set stuff like tempo, bars, program basics like Mono and poly, volumes, program names, etc and have it all there by default each time you power on.

Having tried that and not gotten the outcome I anticipated I searched the JJ site(his not jjos.net) and the description is vague and japanese-ified.

So can someone please emphasize what this is, and how to properly use it please?

There's no list for the latest OS but if you follow that link you can see what kind of parameters are stored on an older OS.

It's very handy to be able to save it as a separate file if you want to share your setup or if you want to reload your own settings after having maintained the ERASE key at start-up.
