Greetings!

Sometimes I'm trimming long samples and I want to hear just the looping point, is there a way to start looped playback 1-2 seconds from the end of the sample?

if you hit pad 11 in trim it will play sample 200ms before end point. I am not in front of my MPC and for the life of me dont know if it works when sample is looped. I will look and see cos i wanna know now

i think you have to go into "chop" mode for the pad 11 for that to work, your talking about the ndc mode arent you?

on that every chop is assigned to a new pad and you cant (to my knowledge) play the end of it.

but if you push the chop button, like the poster said above, pad 11 will play the last few miliseconds, the pad right next to that will play the first few miliseconds of the next chop as well.

while in chop mode alot of the pads do different things like that, some of them play only while your holding it down, some of them play as if it were at 1 shot, and some do some other things too, i think theres a page in the manual that talks about what all the different pads do in this mode.

unfortunately none of the Pads, including 11 playback the sample starting near the end in loop-mode.

Time for a request :)

Using pad11 & pad12 u get your end point perfect (not clicking) and then just use "play loop"-pad to confirm. Takes only few seconds once you master it. Doesn't need additional functionality.

maybe I'm doing something wrong but when I hit pad11 the mpc starts playback almost at the end of the sample and does not go back to the beginning and continue playing, how can I hear if the loop is not clicking?

If I use the "play loop" pad, the mpc will play the sample looped but from the beginning, so if I have a one minute sample I would have to listen to the whole sample every time I would move the end point.

Turn loop on in trim window, instead of set to loop in program window, when making loop from sample. It will mean that you can set loop points exactly and you can audition it and set crossfades ect.
