MIDI out in JJ OS XL

I'm not sure if i understood the manual right there:

"PAD: A user can change the midi out note number of PAD A01-PAD 16. The play note of a sequencer also changes. but note number 0-35 and 100 - 127 cannot be changed."

my question is not about control change or program change, it's about midi notes. and it's about midi OUT i don't care about midi IN at the moment.

is it possible to assign any midi note between 1 and 127 to any pad (MIDI out)? or only notes 36 - 99?

and:
can i e.g. save midi out notes 0 - 63 (Pads A01 - D16) in PROGRAM01
and midi out notes 64 - 127 (Pads A01 - D15) in PROGRAM02

i'm glad if anyone can help. i try to control light scenes in a dmx light controller via the mpc and the more midi notes i get out of it directly from the pads the better

yes you can set MIDI note of the pad. You can not use program to change pad settings though. The new feature of SETs in JJOSXL is the solution i think, though am not in front of my MPC right now though. So yeah you can set MIDI note number to each pad. This has to be saved in a MPC set up file i think as well from memory.

yes, you can do this. the PROGRAM will remember the midi notes per pad. you can switch between them instantly. make sure you are using the most recent version of JJ OS 2XL.

you do not need to worry about the sets feature that bliprock mentioned. PROGRAM will handle everything you need.
