LOOP NOISE
About "How to reduce loop noise" from JJ:
I know the loop engine in MPC is not great for pads and such. However, I tried to understand this note by JJ which might make things a bit better:
http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/loop.htm
Anyone who understands what he means?
I figure he might mean that the loops will sound better if the END point is placed 256 samples before the actual file end.
- But what does he mean with "END:00000000"? END is never zero...
The second part about WAV files from other samples is completely incomprehensible for me.
- Any ideas?
CROSSFADE LOOPS
Anyone who knows exactly how the crossfade loops work. Seems to me the crossfade is performed on the full loop even on long samples. If this is the case it's very unorthodox. It's great JJ implemented crossfade but being able to select how big percentage of the loop to crossfade would be even better.
TRIM PAGE
When auditioning (holding down the pad) and editing START, LP and END volume is immediately decreased a large amount.
This is not the case in CHOP mode.
I find the case in CHOP mode better as you can hear the changes better.
- Is this a bug or a feature?
