greets

I'm looking for a faster way to replace note events of a pad in one track with events of the same pad from another track.

Here's how I do it.

e.g. I got a 4 bar sequence. I want to replace only the kick drum, pad1, in bar1 of the first track with bar4 from the second track, these are the steps:

1) Go to GRID mode
2) Go to second track, bar 4, select pad1 notes and copy
3) Use Data wheel + mode button to go to the first track, bar 1
4) Delete pad 1 notes in bar 1
5) Paste the copied events from the second track

Is there a faster way to it?

I tried mode EDIT SEQ (Pad 13) but it can't replace just one pad, it replaces all pads in bar1 of the first track with the pad1 events from bar4 of the second track.

thanks!

SEQ EDIT is the way, in TRANSPOSE mode, and track must be set to DRUM on main screen, not MIDI, as it works different. You can swap MIDI/DRUM forth and back if you need.

I don't think you understood my question. I need to swap pad events between tracks, not transpose them within one track.

Why did I not try that first, .. thanks!
